Twelve Pines Retreat Center is a crafting and quilting retreat facility. We rent the Center to groups for their own crafting retreats and offer  quilting class retreats that are open to the public several times a year.

Twelve Pines is conveniently located between Huntsville and Madisonville in the Piney Woods of Walker County, Texas. We are 150 miles south of Dallas and 80 miles north of Houston, right off I-45, exit 132, on State Highway 75 North.

The Center is designed for crafters to gather with friends away from the city and relax while enjoying nature, each other, and of course your passion - be it quilting, scrapbooking, knitting, beading or another craft. It accommodates groups from 10 to 24, with all the amenities crafters expect: a spacious workroom with individual worktables, great lighting, comfortable and well-appointed lodging, a kitchen, a dining room and beautiful grounds.

The dense woods are full of beautiful birds such as cardinals, blue jays and soaring hawks. There are 12+ acres that create a secluded environment. The wind blowing through the tops of the tall pines sounds like ocean waves and is very relaxing. The stars are gorgeous at night, away from the city lights. And if you need to stay connected to home, there is an AT&T cell tower in the pasture next door, so you'll have great reception!
